Equipment

  • tupperwaver container

Ingredients

  • 500 g fresh salmon fillet
  • 3/4 cup of sea salt might be coarse
  • 3/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • Zest from 1 lemon
  • 1/2 a small bunch of dill

Instructions

  • Prepare a Tupperware container large enough to fit in the salmon fillet.
  • Measure the salt, sugar, grate the lemon zest and finely chop the dill. All of those ingredients need to be placed in these ready container and mixed well.
  • Then move some of the white mix on the sides, place the salmon fillet skin side down in the middle and cover it with the "snow" from the sides.
  • Place the closed container in the fridge for at least 2 days (it depends on the thickness of the fillet) or even better 3-4 days. It is natural that salt draws out some water from the fish, therefore there will be some visible in the container.
  • When the salmon fillet is ready, remove it from the marinate, which can be discarded. Rinse the fillet under running water. It can be served straightaway.
